The Petronella Book Club

Last Thursday of every month · 5:30pm · in the shop

Come for the books, stay for the conversation. Our book club is a relaxed evening of good books, good company and plenty of conversation. There’s no set genre and no pressure to read a particular book — we talk about fiction, non-fiction, new releases, old favourites and anything in between.

Reality Readers

Wednesday of every second month · 5:30pm · in the shop

For the curious. Memoir, nature writing, history and ideas — books that send you home looking at the world a little differently. Come for the conversation as much as the reading.

Read Between the Wines

Christchurch book club - rotating between members' homes · dates announced monthly

A roving evening that moves from one member's home to the next. There's no set title: everyone brings whatever they've been reading and wants to share, over a glass of something and good conversation.

Young readers

Sprout's Book Club

Held at Tekapo Primary School · dates announced each term

Our littlest readers' club, hosted at Tekapo Primary School. The children bring along a story they've loved and want to share, and we talk about the ones that stuck with us.
