"What I say is, a town isn't a town without a bookstore. It may call itself a town, but unless it's got a bookstore, it knows it's not foolin' a soul." (Neil Gaiman in American Gods). Every town deserves a bookshop and now Lake Tekapo, too, has its own cultural haven. Petronella’s Gallery and Bookstore is easy to find in the main street. An eclectic range of new literature and non-fiction sits alongside boutique stationery, gifts and works by local artists. It’s a match made in heaven brought down to delight locals and travellers alike. Wilma (Wilhelmina Petronella Maria) is your host and she loves to be your guide in this land of books where anything is possible.
